Short description: 

Articulating telescopic aerial platform AKP-53 is made on  four-axle chassis KAMAZ-65201.
Maximum operating height of the platform is 53 meters.
The vehicle cabin crew consists of  3 people including a driver.
The vehicle dimensions  are no more than the following:
length of 12.3 meters, width of 2.5 meters and height of 4 meters.

The advantages of this model: 
  • The vehicle structure is based on a fixed platform that is mounted on a four-axle chassis KamAZ 65201 with drive wheel configuration of 8х4 and increased load capacity.
  • There are H-type stabilizers on the platform for horizontal aligning of the whole structure:
  • 4 horizontal cross-beams and 4 vertical outrigger jacks.
  • There are compartments for firefighting equipment and emergency rescue tool storage and transportation on the platform.

Description: 

The vehicle structure is based on a fixed platform that is mounted on a four-axle chassis KamAZ 65201 with drive wheel configuration of 8х4 and increased load capacity.  A supporting mainframe of the the platform is bolted to the chassis  frame.
There are ladders for climbing the platform on the both sides of  the chassis.
There are H-type stabilizers on the platform for horizontal aligning of the whole structure:
4 horizontal cross-beams and 4 vertical outrigger jacks.
There are compartments for firefighting equipment and emergency rescue tool storage and transportation on the platform.
The compartments are made of aluminum profile and are featured with dust and moist resistant roller shutters.
The aerial part of the platform has a block boom structure that consists of a main telescopic boom rotating by 380°  and having four propotionally extending sections as well as of an articulating upper boom rotating by 180°.
 The length of the main boom is 9.5 meters from the turntable axis.
 All of the sections are made of hight-strength hexagon box steel sections that ensure the safety of an extension cylinder of the main boom as well as of hydraulic pipes that are laid inside.
A rescue cage is made of cored aluminum profile. An articulating joint of the cage is mounted on the top of the upper atriculating boom.
The cage is equipped with an automatic levelling.
The maximum safe load is 450 kg.
The maximum safe load with operating monitor is 280 kg.
An anemometer sensor is installed on the outer part of the cage.
The anemometer determines the wind speed at the top of the ladder, and the movement is automatically blocked in case the wind speed exceeds 12.5 m/sec.
A turntable platform is bolted to a slewing ring of a large cylindric support in the center of the rear part of the fixed platform and is activated by hydraulic engine.
The turntable is protected with walls made of high-strength composite on both sides and can continuously rotate by 360° to the left and to the right.
The hydraulic platform is equipped with two identitcal control panels:
one in the cage and another on the turntable.
The main control station is located on the turntable and is composed of an operator's seat and a control unit.
The main control station is featured with a roof for operator's protection from the sunlight and rain.
The control station is equipped with an intercom connected to the cage.
