Our equipment is used for extinguishing fires in Siberia and the Far East
Terrible heat caused extensive fires in many parts of Russia. The fire can be caused by not putting out a fire, a match or a cigarette, as well as by various natural phenomena: dry grass or land and peat underneath. All available resources are used to combat the problem and to minimize its harmful effects both on nature and on people.
Dozens of hectares of woodland may be wiped out by natural forces but thanks to well-coordinated work of parachutists-firefighters and paratroopers-firefighters, as well as more than 300 units of ground vehicles, more than 1,500 people and three aircrafts, the situation is under control.
Over the two months, in April and May, our vehicles have been successfully extinguishing forest fires in Siberia and the Far East. The situation is complicated by the fact that those places are hard to reach, and lots of fields and forest edges have been dried by the burning sun. It is important to understand that natural fires are very difficult to eliminate because you have to "fight" on the enemy side which is surrounded by a fiery ring. When the water supply is limited, our fire fighting vehicles that consist mostly of four-wheel drive ones are able to climb into the middle of the forest and into the heart of hotspots, while transporting the amount of water necessary for fire liquidation.
It is worth mentioning that the vehicles not only conduct their primary functions in extinguishing fires, but also save the lives of firefighters whose working conditions are complicated by the lack of any water sources nearby and the extending fire area. That is why we can surely say that our fire fighting vehicles are excellent not only at combating fires but also at protecting the cabin crew personnel.
