Liquidation of a fire at LUKOIL
On may 6, 2017, the fire in Perm at the oil refinery owned by LUKOIL was successfully suppressed . The fire at the refinery was assigned to the fourth level of complexity, 167 MES agents and more than 40 units of special equipment were sent in to fight it. It took about four hours to put out the fire. The fire arose when they tried to run the malfunctioning unit vacuum block after repairing it. The remaining facilities of the plant continued to operate normally. The nearest settlements were not affected, there were no casualties.
The fire was contained with the help pf our equipment and special heat-reflecting suits TOK-200 which were put on the firefighter's special protective clothing. These suits are designed not only to protect against high temperatures, but also from wind and precipitation. They can also be used during the cold season and weigh between 8 and 10 kilograms. The inner part of the TOK-200 suits has a special impregnation which makes them fire resistant. The suit provides protection from 200-degree flame for 10 minutes.
