Short description: 

A foam tender APT-5,3-40 on an off-road chassis Ural 55571 with 6х6 drive wheel configuration is designed for delivery of the firefighting crew, firefighting equipment and foaming agent to the fire site; delivery of the water to the fire site from an open pond or a hydrant; air foam delivery to the fire site from a foam tank or an exterior container.

The advantages of this model: 
  • One of the main advantages of APT-5,3 is its reasonable superstructure configuration and ergonomic compartments for firefighting equipment that ensure optimal arrangement of a large quantity of different firefighting equipment on a standard chassis area.
  • It is guaranteed with a non-standard foaming agent tank structure.
  • The firefighting equipment fixation as per Multimount system ensures reasonable arrangement of the firefighting equipment in the compartments as well as its safety during the transportation.
  • Thanks to the modular technology «UNIMOD» used for firefighting vehicle design an excellent ergonomics and optimal weight distribution have been achieved.
  • The space of the APT-5,3-40 top is also efficiently used.
  • Here are two foam aerial apparatus based on a standard three-section ladder and two telescopic foam masts with controllable foam generators compactly and ergonomically arranged.
  • The upper firefighting equipment is secured with a single-module fixation system.
  • Foam generator control system based on special cables allows to vary the direction of the foam jet horizontally independent of the actual height of the foam mast.  
  • The vehicle is equipped with a portable monitor for remote foam delivery to the areas difficult to access.
  • Such a wide range of the operation tools allows the firefighting crew to choose and use the most efficient fire-extinguishing technique in each particular situation.
  • The air foam blocks efficiently the oxygen access forming an insulating blanket and preventing the fire spread.
  • Unlike the water, the foam does not drain off; as a result, the fire-extinguishing agent flow rate is significantly decreased and the fire liquidation process becomes more efficient and rapid.

A foam tender APT-5.3-40 on an off-road chassis Ural 55571 with 6х6 drive wheel configuration is designed for delivery of the firefighting crew, firefighting equipment and foaming agent to the fire site; delivery of the water to the fire site from an open pond or a hydrant;  air foam delivery to the fire site from a foam tank or an exterior container.

The main task of the APT 5.3-40 is extinguishing fires of various complexity with the help of air foam. This kind of fire extinguishing is especially efficient when it is  required to liquidate fires at oil, gas and chemicals storage and  refining facilities and other inflammable substances.

The vehicle has one common tank for fire extinguishing agents, with a capacity of 5 300 liters. The vehicle can be used as an independent unit, as well as in collaboration with other fvehicles.
