Short description:

A foam tender APT 5,0-70 on an all-wheeled chassis KamAZ 5350 with 6x6 drive wheel configuration is designed for various-complexity fire extinguishing with air foam. This kind of fire extinguishing is especially efficient when it is required to liquidate fires at oil, gas and chemicals storage and refining facilities.

The advantages of this model:

In the fire superstructure of this model APT 5,0-70 the tank for foaming agent is mounted in the center of the chassis in order to ensure optimal weight distribution Furthermore, thanks to this design, the access to the compartments with the firefighting equipment became easier and more convenient since the compartment modules are located next to one another.
On the top of the APT 5,0-70 superstructure there are two water towers based on a standard three-section ladder as well as two telescopic foam masts with adjustable foam generators arranged in a compact and ergonomic way.
Foam generator control system based on special cables allows to vary the direction of the foam jet horizontally independent of the actual height of the foam mast.
Thanks to a multi-element fixation system for the firefighting equipment «Multimount» based on the polyurethane elastomers, the firefighting equipment has compact and reliable arrangement in the compartments.
The air foam blocks efficiently the oxygen access forming an insulating blanket and preventing the fire spread.
Unlike the water, the foam does not drain off; as a result, the fire-extinguishing agent flow rate is significantly decreased and the fire liquidation process becomes more efficient and rapid.
Comparing to water consumption, the amount of foam required for fire extinguishing is significantly smaller.
Another advantage of foam is decreased damage to the burning objects since the foam prevents soaking, flooding or deteriorating.

The vehicle has one common tank for fire extinguishing agents, with a capacity of 5 000 liters.

The vehicle can be used as an independent unit, as well as in collaboration with other fvehicles.
