Our fire trucks fight fires in Uruguay
On February 21, 2017 the representative of fire Uruguayan safety departments visited our plant. This became a milestone event. The negotiations turned out to be very beneficial for both sides. During the dialogue, we signed the most important agreements which directly affected us.
It turned out that South Americans were interested in our equipment, and in general they would prefer our qualified specialists to consult them about fire fighting vehicles manufacturing. As a result we signed a cooperation agreement with Uruguayan counterparts. Such a document resulted to be beneficial to all. We gained an opportunity to set up an interesting project to manufacture vehicles, which in the future would be used by Uruguayan state fire safety services.
After analyzing thoroughly our range of products, Uruguayans preferred fire fighting vehicles mounted on the Ural basis. The peculiar terrain of this South American country, which consists of deserts and forests, requires highly passable vehicles. The Russan Ural is designed to fight woodland fires in the most difficult conditions. In Uruguay woodland fires are widely spread, and local vehicles can not cope with natural disasters. Therefore, Raul Diaz, the director of the national fire service, decided to assign this responsibility to Russian vehicles.
