Unimod lineup has included again new fire fighting vehicles
Our firefighters deserve the right to use the latest technology due to their utter dedocation. For them, the Unimod company is constantly expanding the range of vehicles. We are proud of the new fire fighting equipment made by qualified engineers and workers on the basis of the latest advances.
Each team member assumes his responsibility, because vehicles along with people will fight with fire. We use parts applied in previous models and always introduce new technological solutions. We will dwell on two latest designs: The hose unit AR-2 and new water tenders. Here is a their brief description.
The hose unit is mounted on the four-wheel drive KAMAZ (5350) chassis. It is used to deliver crew members and 2 000 meter long fire hoses to the fire scene. The main hoses can be laid automatically on the move and or in the process of fire extinguishing. The hoses can be wound, dryed and placed into the bodywork automatically.
The vehicle has a reliable design and is distinguished with considered solutions which facilitate their usage. The rear door is equipped with aluminum roller shutters and the side door provides direct access to special equipment. Consumers appreciated the development : the new fire fighting trucks are characterized by durability and reliability.
The AR-2 is designed to operate together with other fire trucks, so our team made efforts to manufacture new units. We selected the KAMAZ chassis for the base, and the cabin underwent restyling. Now we are referring to the water tender. The AC is available in various configurations. Some more details about the particular models -the AC 9.0-40 and the AC 7.0-100. These fire trucks are used to deliver water, foam, fire fighting equipment and tools.
Here are the main features of the water tenders. The data are given for the AC 9.0-40 (in brackets it is specified for the AC 7.0-100).
- The materials. The 9 (7) m3 water tank is made of carbon steel with anti-corrosion coating. The foam tank is made of stainless steel.
- The design. The compartments of these fire trucks are reinforced with a metal frame, and the multi-element fixation system guarantees that equipment and tools are fixed securely and ergonomically.
- Superstructure. Unimod modular technology has been applied It allows creating separate functional units which enable you conveniently store, transport, and mount fire-fighting equipment. The water tender units ) are mounted on the chassis with the help of a spring-damper mechanism.
- The pump. The unit is equipped with a centrifugal NCPN-40/100 pump for delivering water under pressure.
Such trucks allow firefighters to prevent large fires from spreading by supplying water from the a fixed monitor. If there is no water body near the fire site, a house unit and a water tender need to be sent in. This new fire trucks have already become indispensable in emergency situations.
