A fully integrated CAFS system is a completely self-sufficient system consisting of several elements. On the frame there are: centrifugal pump, compressor, foaming agent dosing pumps, patented mixing chambers and control system with all instrumentation. All components, including the output valves are strapped.
Connected automatically to PTO via a standard transmission shaft. The compressor is connected to the centrifugal pump drive. This transmission shaft can simultaneously drive both the pump and the compressor. 24 V automotive wiring is sufficient to supply the system. CAFS strapping system is connected to the vehicle´s piping system.
Foam proportioning is carried out by two pumps, with flow indicators. The accuracy of foam proportioning does not depend on the type of foaming agent (concentrarion). Moreover, reliable foam proportioning over the entire operating process is guaranteed at any operating pressure.
Due to the rapid response to changes in performance, the device can quickly adjust the proportioning in accordance with changing operating conditions (for example, with a sudden interruption of the process).
A minimum of 800 litres of water per minute is required for normal supply. As a result, maximum flow is 60 l/s. Thus, the system allows using a fixed monitor with a capacity of 20 l/s or several nozzles at the same time. The device provides high performance for effective and safe fire control, including buildings and production sites. When extinguishing a fire with CAFS, basic safety (tactical and technical) must be observed to ensure firefighters´safety.
